CBD Products Specific to Black Women’s Wellness

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, Black adults in the U.S. are “more likely than white adults to report persistent symptoms of emotional distress, such as sadness, hopelessness, and feeling like everything is an effort.” Several cannabis industry insiders and experts have supported the theory that cannabis can help with both emotions and physical ailments.

Offering a variety of oils, gummies and body butter with CBD, Brown Girl Jane speaks specifically to women of color.

CBD is currently legal in all 50 states with varying regulations, and many states do allow some form of medical marijuana with THC. The industry, however, is still very restrictive, with few Black-owned brands and an often negative stigma — especially when it comes to THC.

Brown Girl Jane’s products can be found at browngirljane.com and Guynes be found at thekushnurse.com treating a variety of ailments through plant medicine and education.

I recently have had the privilege of traveling and speaking across the US. The questions during Q&A are always so eye opening. One of the most common themes was that most people do not know that there are THOUSANDS of strains/cultivars of cannabis.

Meaning there are many varieties of plants and each one has a unique profile that can align with or help manage certain conditions or symptoms. Each plant can also provide very different effects.

Why this matters?

Common complaints or concerns I get are from those individuals who had a bad experience with cannabis. 99% of the time these individuals tried edibles or they didn't know what they were consuming.

A beautiful remembering and loving celebration of native/indigenous folks reposted from @burjushoes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today we celebrate and honor the Legacy of Native American People. We recognize that this day often comes with a misrepresentation of the historical events that took place hundreds of years ago when European colonizers landed on Native soil that they claimed as their own. We know today that these events are not reflected in the story of Thanksgiving and we choose to recognize the contribution that Native peoples have made to this land: protecting it, nurturing it, sustaining it. We are thankful for the Native community and we continue to fight for native people to see justice, to see reparations for the hundreds of years of exploitation and violence they have faced. We recognize that we all stand on stolen land. We are grateful for our community, and for all those who continue to honor Native Heritage. 🤎🧡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

99% of the people I speak with have no idea they have an ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM. The entire role of this system is to maintain balance in our bodies. When we are out of balance due to stress, diet and other factors our body welcomes disease, inflammation and more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes cannabis is medicine but it works because we have this system that responds and interacts with the plant. It also produces compounds similar to THC and CBD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I made a quick video you can download about this system. 🙃https://bit.ly/ECSbasics⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
