Do you struggle with falling asleep or staying asleep?

Sleep is essential for maintaining our mental and physical health, yet it eludes many adults. And it’s a very common problem, one that takes a toll on your energy, mood, and ability to function during the day.

In this episode, we will talk about how cannabis benefits and helps us to get a better sleep and methods to get asleep or staying asleep.

Many people struggle to get to sleep no matter how tired they are. Others wake up in the middle of the night and lie awake for hours, anxiously watching the clock. But, because different people need different amounts of sleep, insomnia is defined by the quality of your sleep and how you feel after sleeping—not the number of hours you sleep or how quickly you doze off. Even if you’re spending eight hours a night in bed, if you feel drowsy and fatigued during the day.

Whether you have a sleep disorder or you’re having difficulty sleeping after a stressful day, cannabis might be a choice for you. Marijuana’s analgesic properties might provide some relief for those with chronic pain, while the anti-anxiety properties can soothe a stressed out mind and body.

Sleep is one of the biggest challenges among my clients. Let’s talk about it.

I recently have had the privilege of traveling and speaking across the US. The questions during Q&A are always so eye opening. One of the most common themes was that most people do not know that there are THOUSANDS of strains/cultivars of cannabis.

Meaning there are many varieties of plants and each one has a unique profile that can align with or help manage certain conditions or symptoms. Each plant can also provide very different effects.

Why this matters?

Common complaints or concerns I get are from those individuals who had a bad experience with cannabis. 99% of the time these individuals tried edibles or they didn't know what they were consuming.

A beautiful remembering and loving celebration of native/indigenous folks reposted from @burjushoes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today we celebrate and honor the Legacy of Native American People. We recognize that this day often comes with a misrepresentation of the historical events that took place hundreds of years ago when European colonizers landed on Native soil that they claimed as their own. We know today that these events are not reflected in the story of Thanksgiving and we choose to recognize the contribution that Native peoples have made to this land: protecting it, nurturing it, sustaining it. We are thankful for the Native community and we continue to fight for native people to see justice, to see reparations for the hundreds of years of exploitation and violence they have faced. We recognize that we all stand on stolen land. We are grateful for our community, and for all those who continue to honor Native Heritage. 🤎🧡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

99% of the people I speak with have no idea they have an ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM. The entire role of this system is to maintain balance in our bodies. When we are out of balance due to stress, diet and other factors our body welcomes disease, inflammation and more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes cannabis is medicine but it works because we have this system that responds and interacts with the plant. It also produces compounds similar to THC and CBD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I made a quick video you can download about this system. 🙃https://bit.ly/ECSbasics⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
